Peace Together: A Handwritten Font That Elevates Small Business Branding

Refreshing a Café Menu with a Personal Touch

I recently helped a local café owner refresh their menu design. They wanted something that felt warm, approachable, and a little playful—without sacrificing professionalism. After testing a few options, we landed on Peace Together, a handwritten font that brought just the right amount of personality to their printed and digital menus. It’s the kind of typeface that makes customers feel like they’re being spoken to by a friend, not a corporation.

Peace Together is a Script Amp font with a soft, organic rhythm. It mimics natural handwriting, but with a level of polish that makes it suitable for more than just casual branding. Its slightly bouncy baseline and gentle curves give it a whimsical charm, while the consistent stroke weight ensures it remains legible and balanced across different formats.

From Packaging to Social Media: A Font That Works Hard

What impressed me most about Peace Together is how well it adapts across mediums. We used it for the café’s menu headers, but it worked equally well when a candle maker I consult for decided to update their jar labels. The font’s softness complemented the natural soy candles, giving the brand a handmade, artisanal feel without looking amateur.

It’s also ideal for short-form digital content. When the café launched a new seasonal drink, we used Peace Together in their Instagram Stories and banner graphics. The font scaled beautifully on mobile screens and gave the visuals a personal, boutique-style appeal. For small businesses trying to stand out in crowded feeds, that kind of visual warmth can make a big difference.

Perfect for Logos, Labels, and Brand Touchpoints

One of the most powerful uses of Peace Together is in logo design and packaging titles. It’s not a workhorse font for long paragraphs, but it shines as a display typeface. Think of it as the visual equivalent of a warm smile or a handwritten note—it makes your brand feel human.

Because of its character, it’s best used for short phrases, headlines, and brand accents. It’s not ideal for body copy or small print, but that’s not what it was designed for. Knowing how to use a font like Peace Together strategically is key to making your brand feel cohesive and intentional.

Pairing Peace Together for a Balanced Look

To keep the overall design from looking too casual or cluttered, I often pair Peace Together with a clean sans serif like Montserrat or Lato. This combination gives branding materials a friendly yet professional tone. For more elegant applications—like a luxury candle line—we paired it with a serif font for a refined contrast that still felt personal.

If you're using Peace Together in print or digital design, aim for a two- or three-font system: one for headlines (Peace Together), one for body text (a neutral sans or serif), and maybe a third for accents or captions. This helps maintain visual hierarchy while keeping your brand identity strong.

What to Check Before Using Peace Together

Before you download and use Peace Together for commercial use—whether it's for product packaging, social media templates, or client work—make sure you have the proper licensing. Most premium fonts come with a commercial license, but it’s always good to double-check what’s allowed, especially if you're using it in merchandise or digital downloads.

Also, look into the font’s features. Does it include alternate characters, ligatures, or stylistic sets? These small touches can elevate your design and help avoid repetition, especially in logos or repeated brand elements. Peace Together includes a good variety of alternates, which makes it feel more authentic and less computer-generated.

Typography Matters More Than You Think

Many small business owners underestimate how much typography affects customer perception. A poorly chosen font can make your brand look rushed or unprofessional. On the other hand, a thoughtful choice like Peace Together can enhance your brand’s personality, build trust, and make your materials more memorable.

When used correctly, a font like this becomes part of your brand identity. It shows up in your packaging, your thank-you notes, your digital graphics, and even your business cards. Over time, that consistency helps customers recognize and connect with your brand more deeply.
